Karl Wente, who immigrated from Germany in 1849 as one of the "49ers" during the California Gold Rush, purchased 19 hectares of land in Livermore Valley and founded Wente Winery in 1883. Even during the Prohibition era, the winery was permitted to produce wine for Mass, and it has been known as "America's oldest continuously family-run winery" and has been loved for over 120 years.
This popular variety set includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a medium-sweet, easy-to-drink Riesling. It's also a great souvenir to take back to Japan.
